This is a night shift position at North Downs Specialist Referrals, an RCVS accredited specialist referral centre. You'll work overnight from 8pm to 8am on a rotation of 5 nights on, 9 nights off, providing an average of 30 hours per week. The role focuses on inpatient care for the practice's own registered patients rather than emergency cover, creating a more controlled and predictable environment.
You'll be part of a supportive team of night nurses, nursing assistants, and a Veterinary Surgeon. The practice is home to over 60 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 31 recognised specialists across surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, neurology, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and anaesthesia. No previous referral experience is required; you just need to be at least 1 year qualified.
