Ready to join a thriving 30-vet team in beautiful Warwickshire with genuine work-life balance, minimal OOH, and access to outstanding facilities including CT, ultrasound, and laparoscopy? Avonvale Vets offers flexible full-time or part-time hours, specialist support, and a truly close-knit culture.
Minimal out-of-hours work; dedicated night vet teams operate from the central hospital
You'll join Avonvale Veterinary Centres as a Veterinary Surgeon, working 40 hours per week across four days (8.30am to 6.30pm), with minimal out-of-hours commitments. This is a genuine work-life balance opportunity: full-time is preferred, but part-time options are actively available.
The role offers a choice of two arrangements: a position primarily based at the Stratford-upon-Avon surgery, or a flexible roving role across two to three of the practice's Warwickshire clinics. You'll be working in beautiful countryside with historic charm, yet only 30 minutes from Birmingham and direct rail access to London.
Avonvale Veterinary Centres is part of Linnaeus and Mars Veterinary Health, the largest family-owned veterinary company in the world. The practice operates seven RCVS-accredited surgeries plus a central hospital in Warwick, staffed by 30 experienced veterinarians with advanced qualifications across medicine, surgery, dermatology, feline medicine, ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging. The team is underpinned by highly skilled nursing staff and provides round-the-clock care through in-house night vet services.
Avonvale is known for its close-knit, supportive culture where colleague wellbeing is prioritised. The practice invests in team engagement, hosts regular social events (including ice cream van visits), and actively supports professional development and further study. As part of Mars Veterinary Health, associates access worldwide opportunities and a comprehensive wellbeing programme while maintaining the independence and long-term thinking of private ownership.
