Lower House Equine Clinic is recruiting an enthusiastic, newly qualified or early-career equine veterinary surgeon for a full-time internship-based position designed to bridge the gap between graduation and independent practice. You'll join a supportive team and progress from observation and assistance through to managing your own cases with mentorship available whenever needed.
This is an ideal opportunity if you're eager to build confidence, develop practical skills and establish a strong clinical foundation. As your competence grows, you'll take increasing responsibility for clinical decision-making, ambulatory work and case management. The role offers a rich mix of clinic-based and ambulatory work across a diverse client base, from companion horses to high-level performance athletes and charity cases.
Based in Shropshire, Lower House Equine Clinic is an independent equine practice established in 2016. The team has grown rapidly whilst maintaining core values of excellent patient care, genuine teamwork and investing in its people. The clinic believes the best equine vets are developed through mentorship, encouragement and hands-on experience.
The purpose-built facility includes modern surgical facilities, in-house laboratory, hospitalisation for medical and surgical patients, dedicated sports horse and poor performance investigation capabilities, reproductive services, and a varied ambulatory caseload across a diverse client base.
