About the Role
Manor Vets, Shirley is recruiting a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join its recently refurbished site in Solihull. The role offers a balanced mix of surgery and medicine, and a consult-only option may also be considered for the right candidate.
Full time working is typically 40 hours across 4 days per week, plus the shared Saturday morning rota at 4:12 with time back in lieu. There is no out of hours or on-call requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver high quality patient and client care.
- Handle a varied and rewarding small animal caseload across surgery and medicine, or consults only if that is the preferred setup.
- Develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Contribute positively to the clinical culture and support the development of those around you.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.

About the Practice
Manor Vets is part of the Inspiring Vet Care network and has six fully functioning practices across its sites. The wider team includes 26 vets, 30 RVNs, and VCAs and SVNs, with certificate holders in imaging, ophthalmology, surgery, cardiology, and medicine.
The Shirley site is equipped with digital x ray and ultrasound, while laparoscopy and CT are available at the nearby Halesowen site. The practice also says it is focused on care, community, and continuous improvement.
