This permanent Veterinary Surgeon position is based mainly at Oakfield Vets in Castle Bromwich, with occasional cover at the Tamworth and Atherstone sites. The caseload is varied, with work spanning consultations and surgical procedures, and the practice is looking for a more experienced vet who can handle periods of sole charge.
The rota is built around a four-day week, with working hours of 8am to 7pm, plus a shared Saturday rota. There is no out-of-hours requirement, Sundays and Bank Holidays are closed, and consults are 15 minutes long with surgery time each weekday.
Oakfield Veterinary Group has been established for over 100 years and operates surgeries in Atherstone, Tamworth and Castle Bromwich. The practice treats small animals and has a wider team that includes vets, nurses, SVNs, VCAs, receptionists, a Client Coordinator, a Mental Health First Aider, behaviourists, certificate holders and an Advanced Practitioner.
