About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and their pets at Martin and Carr Veterinary Surgeons, a traditional practice that’s embraced modern innovation. Based in the picturesque market town of Pershore with easy access to Worcester and Birmingham, this part-time role offers flexibility across 25 hours per week, shared between the Pershore and Evesham surgeries. You’ll work a variety of shifts, including 1:2 Saturday mornings, balancing client-facing work with the quieter operational rhythms of a community practice.

The practice is built around a team of 7 vets and 9 nurses, including specialists in medicine, surgery, and endoscopy—meaning you’ll be supporting colleagues with real depth of expertise. The facilities are purpose-built with digital radiography, dental imaging, ultrasound, and endoscopy equipment, so this is a practice genuinely invested in quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and pets warmly upon arrival, setting the tone for a welcoming practice atmosphere
• Manage the clinic calendar efficiently, scheduling appointments across both Pershore and Evesham surgeries
• Handle incoming calls and enquiries about services, treatments, and pet care advice with professionalism
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and laboratory results
• Process payments and manage billing queries with attention to detail
• Keep the reception area clean, organised, and well-stocked
• Support clinical and non-clinical colleagues during busy periods with client communications and follow-ups

Requirements
