Area Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This Area Veterinary Surgeon position offers a mix of clinical work and leadership across a cluster of practices around the Chelmsford area. You will be involved in shaping how veterinary care is delivered across multiple sites, while still staying hands-on in consults and surgery.

The role is suited to an experienced and ambitious Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys being a trusted point of support for vets and nurses. It brings together clinical guidance, mentorship, CPD support and the chance to influence standards, with backing from Medivet's wider leadership structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support, guidance and mentorship to vets and nurses across the cluster.
• Help maintain standards of patient care and clinical governance across multiple practices.
• Support training, CPD and the implementation of best practice.
• Deliver clinical care in consults and surgery to regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Develop tailored treatment plans with clients.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team and share skills across Medivet communities.

Requirements

• Qualified MRCVS.
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Experience and ambition for a leadership and advisory role.
• Confident, organised and approachable.
• Passion for clinical excellence and client care.
• Team player who wants to make a positive difference.
