About the Role

Medivet Bamber Bridge is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, supportive team in a modern, well-equipped first-opinion practice. This full-time role offers genuine variety: you’ll work across nurse-led appointments, surgical support, patient monitoring and client care in a recently renovated clinic that’s invested heavily in both people and facilities.

The practice occupies a busy suburban location with excellent transport links to Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District—ideal if you value strong lifestyle options alongside clinical challenge. With a one-in-three weekend rota and genuine flexibility offered, work-life balance isn’t just mentioned here; it’s actively prioritised.

You’ll be part of a five-vet team including a three-times certificate holder in surgery, and work regularly with advanced procedures including orthopaedics and laparoscopy. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care through nurse-led appointments, schedule 3 activities, and support during consults, surgeries and procedures
  • Manage patient monitoring, admissions and discharges in compliance with RCVS standards and practice protocols
  • Assist with advanced procedures including orthopaedic surgery and laparoscopy, with opportunities to develop specialist skills
  • Work collaboratively within the nursing and support team to maintain high standards of client care
  • Utilise modern clinic equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, dental suite and orthopaedic facilities

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Ideally 1–2 years’ UK veterinary nursing experience, though candidates at different career stages who are confident, motivated and eager to learn are welcome to apply
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment

Medivet Bamber Bridge is a well-established first-opinion practice serving its local community in a busy suburban setting. Recently renovated, the clinic now offers state-of-the-art facilities including digital X-ray, in-house lab, high-quality ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, dental suite with dental X-ray, orthopaedic equipment, capnography and ventilators.
