About the Role

You’ll be joining Medivet Dulwich at an exciting moment—the practice is undergoing a full refurbishment, and you’ll have the chance to help shape a modern, well-equipped clinic. Working a 4-day week with 1:6 weekend cover and a guaranteed set day off each week, this role prioritises your work-life balance alongside clinical excellence.

The clinic manages a varied small animal caseload of approximately 70% cats and 30% dogs, with a busy mix of consultations and surgical procedures. You’ll work alongside a 3-vet team led by Branch Partner Inga (over 9 years’ experience, Small Animal Surgery certificate), student veterinary nurses, veterinary care assistants, and a dedicated client care team. Modern facilities include X-ray, ultrasound, dental, and in-house laboratory equipment.

There’s real scope for nurse-led consultations, and the practice is committed to supporting your development through tailored training and a bespoke nutritional ambassador programme. Clinical communities bring vets and nurses with shared interests together regularly for collaboration and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care through nurse-led appointments and scheduled activities, supporting consultations, surgeries, and procedures
  • Manage patient monitoring and care, including admissions and discharges
  • Provide outstanding client communication and support
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of regulatory and operational compliance

Requirements

  • RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
