About the Role

Medivet Hendon Hospital, a busy 24-hour facility in North London, is seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated night team. This is a permanent, part-time position working nights alongside a dedicated night veterinary surgeon, offering excellent scope to develop both medical and surgical nursing skills.

The practice handles a diverse and complex caseload, providing out-of-hours emergency care, hospitalisation, and case work-ups for surrounding Medivet branches and external referrals, as well as first-opinion care during the week. You’ll be working in a well-equipped hospital with access to advanced facilities and a welcoming team that includes certificate holders and experienced ECC colleagues—meaning genuine peer support during your shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care, performing nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities
  • Support consultations, surgeries, and procedures while maintaining regulatory and practice standards
  • Provide continuous patient monitoring and care management throughout your shift
  • Manage patient admissions, discharges, and hospitalisation
  • Deliver compassionate care to clients and communicate clearly about their pets’ progress
  • Collaborate with the night vet and wider team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Team player with strong collaborative approach
  • Ability to work effectively during night shifts in a fast-paced environment
