Operating Partner - Veterinary Practice

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded Veterinary Surgeon to become an Operational Partner and co-own a cluster of five practices across the Scunthorpe area. You will take ownership of both clinical and operational performance, working in genuine partnership with Medivet's central support team while retaining autonomy over your local clinics.

The role balances non-clinical leadership and operational responsibilities with the option to provide clinical mentorship to your teams. You will oversee a diverse cluster ranging from larger veterinary clinics to a consult-only site, leading established teams and driving continued development and growth. This is ideal for an experienced leader who wants to build practice culture, influence clinical direction, and shape the future of their clinics without the burden of personal asset risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor clinical and non-clinical teams across the cluster, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
• Promote best practice and continuous improvement in patient care and client service
• Drive operational performance and ensure clinics meet key performance metrics including revenue, EBITDA, and client satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with clinical, regulatory, and operational standards across all sites
• Identify growth opportunities and deliver sustainable business development with support from your Network Director
• Optimise resources, rotas, and workflows to maximise efficiency and service delivery
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of colleagues
• Champion Medivet values and foster a positive working environment

Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Proven experience in operational and/or leadership roles
• Strong commitment to clinical standards and exceptional patient care
• Excellent leadership and people management capabilities
• Ability to influence, engage, and build relationships at all levels
• Commercial awareness and track record of delivering business results
• Passion for outstanding client service
