About the Role

You’ll be joining Medivet Richmond 24-Hour, a busy emergency and referral centre where nursing excellence is at the heart of everything you do. This is a genuinely dynamic role—no two shifts are the same. You’ll provide high-quality nursing care across routine treatments through to complex emergency procedures, working alongside experienced vets and nurses in an environment that values collaboration and clinical excellence.

As part of a dedicated 24-hour team, you’ll gain exposure to the full breadth of veterinary nursing, from patient monitoring and admissions through to nurse-led appointments and surgical support. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care across a wide range of emergency and referral cases, from stabilisation through to post-operative monitoring
• Lead nurse appointments and schedule 3 activities (preventative care clinics), ensuring regulatory and practice standards are met
• Support veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgeries, and advanced procedures
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and ongoing ward care within a 24-hour setting
• Provide compassionate client communication and support, particularly during stressful emergency situations
• Work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive practice environment

Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Confidence and adaptability in a fast-paced, 24-hour emergency environment
• Strong team player mentality with commitment to collaborative working
• Willingness to embrace continuous learning and professional development
