Ready to build a cardiology specialism in a thriving, well-equipped practice with genuine partnership potential? Medivet Orrell Park is looking for an ambitious vet to develop advanced cardiac services with full clinical autonomy and mentorship from an experienced Lead Vet.
One in three Saturdays; no overnight or after-hours on-call mentioned.
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to develop and establish cardiology expertise within a busy small animal practice. You'll work four days per week with one in three Saturdays, allowing a genuine balance between clinical development and personal time. The role combines building a dedicated cardiology caseload with a varied general practice workload, so you won't be isolated in a single specialty.
You'll be based at Medivet Orrell Park, a newly refurbished, well-equipped facility featuring digital X-ray, ultrasound, a brand-new laparoscopy suite, and dental facilities. Crucially, you'll have close access to Medivet Alder 24-hour hospital, which provides advanced imaging, complex case support, and round-the-clock inpatient care. This partnership ensures your cardiology cases receive continuity of care and access to specialist facilities without requiring you to relocate or work overnight shifts.
You'll collaborate closely with the Lead Vet and contribute to the ongoing clinical direction and growth of the practice. For vets with entrepreneurial ambitions, future partnership opportunities are available for those who wish to invest in and shape the growing cardiology service.
