
Join Medivet in a Veterinary Surgeon role that combines day-to-day clinical work with sole-charge cover, on-call duties and exposure to a varied hospital caseload. You'll be based mainly at Medivet Cheshunt, with strong support from a collaborative team and well-equipped practices.
Average of 2 to 3 weeks of on-call duties per year, plus a 1 in 6 weekend rotation at the Enfield 24-Hour Hospital and approximately 3 Bank Holidays per year.
This Veterinary Surgeon position is primarily based at Medivet Cheshunt, with the chance to play a key role in patient care, clinical standards, compliance and client service. The role may include sole-charge days to cover annual leave or sickness across the clinics.
You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team made up of two Branch Partners at Cheshunt and one Branch Partner working across Waltham Abbey and Cuffley. The caseload is described as a good mix of routine and more complex cases, and the hospital rota also offers further exposure to a varied and interesting caseload.
The practices are well equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, a modern ultrasound machine, in-house biochemistry and haematology analysers, plus Doppler and oscillometric blood pressure monitoring.
The role is with Medivet, and the main base is Medivet Cheshunt in Waltham Cross. The team also includes Branch Partners working across Waltham Abbey and Cuffley, with additional rota exposure at Medivet's Enfield 24-Hour Hospital.
