Approximately 2 weeks of on-call cover per year plus approximately 1-2 Extra Rotational Shifts (ERS) annually. Includes bank holiday commitments.
This is a permanent position across Medivet's established network of small animal practices in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. You'll work a manageable 4-day week (36 hours) with flexibility to support planned holiday cover, plus approximately 2 weeks of on-call cover per year and 1-2 extra rotational shifts annually. Much of the work involves sole charge consulting, so you'll need confidence working independently whilst building relationships with multiple teams across different practice environments.
You'll be paired with a dedicated veterinary buddy who provides ongoing support and guidance throughout your time with Medivet. The region is known for its collaborative culture, with vets and nurses working closely together and sharing expertise across sites. Areas of clinical expertise across the network include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and cardiology.
Across the region you'll have access to excellent equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory services, endoscopy at Stanstead Abbotts, and 24-hour hospital facilities with referral support via Enfield 24-Hour Hospital. As part of the wider Medivet network, you'll benefit from extensive clinical collaboration and access to specialist expertise.
