You'll be joining Cambridge Bar Hill Vets for Pets, a purpose-built small animal practice established over two years ago and designed to the highest standards. This is a full-time RVN position working 40 hours across a four-day week while receiving full-time salary benefits, including paid lunch breaks. With no out-of-hours duties required, weekends are shared on an approximate 1 in 5 rota basis with time off in lieu. The practice is flexible and can also consider part-time arrangements if preferred.
The practice operates as a dual site alongside the Beehive Centre location, and you may occasionally be required to cover that site. You'll work alongside a large team of experienced vets and nurses spread across both locations, all committed to delivering high standards of surgical and medical care.
Cambridge Bar Hill Vets for Pets became part of the Vets for Pets group following Hayley Baker's partnership in 2015, alongside the Beehive Centre location. The Bar Hill practice is a modern facility built to the highest standards, featuring separate dental and imaging suites, laparoscopic theatre, standard theatre and five consultation rooms. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, full orthopaedic equipment, extensive endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities.
The team brings diverse clinical interests including advanced surgery, diagnostic imaging, feline medicine, anaesthesia, soft tissue surgery, endoscopy and laparoscopy, with many members holding relevant certificates. The practice holds Practice Standard Scheme accreditation and Silver Level ISFM Cat Friendly status. As a Clinical Academy Practice, it provides laparoscopic surgical training to other Vets for Pets locations and welcomes cases suitable for endoscopy and laparoscopy referrals, offering training opportunities for team members.
