Orby Vets is looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to help guide the practice’s clinical direction while staying closely involved in day-to-day patient care. The role combines consultations and surgery, so you can build lasting relationships with clients and follow cases through from diagnosis to treatment.
You will work alongside the Director of Practice and Practice Manager, supporting clinical decision-making, mentoring colleagues and helping to embed the practice’s Care Frameworks. This is a small animal first opinion role with a varied caseload and the opportunity to work cases up in house.
Orby also offers a settled working pattern, with a four-day week, 40 hours per week, 8:30am to 6:30pm shifts, no Saturdays, no bank holidays and no out-of-hours commitments.
Orby Vets is an established practice that has been serving the local community for almost 40 years. It has built a strong reputation for putting patients and clients first, with long-standing client relationships and a loyal first opinion caseload.
The practice is an RCVS Accredited Practice, a Vet GDP Adviser Practice and an RVN Training Practice. Facilities include a dedicated operating theatre and preparation room, modern ultrasound and digital radiography, with dental radiography planned for the near future. The team is described as small, highly experienced and supportive, with several colleagues who have been there for more than a decade.
