Join Park Veterinary Centre, a busy established practice in Watford that has been nurturing student nurses for over a century. You'll work full-time across a 40-hour week with a manageable Saturday rota (1 in 4 until 4.30pm, 1 in 12 until 12.30pm), giving you real continuity and work-life balance while you study. This is a genuine training role where you'll develop clinical and non-clinical skills under the guidance of experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons as you progress towards your RVN qualification over 30-36 months.
The practice handles a diverse small animal caseload including exotics, supported by modern equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic and endoscopic facilities. You'll be an integral part of the team, gaining hands-on experience across animal husbandry, radiography, anaesthesia, client care and laboratory work, all underpinned by a practice philosophy that puts patient and client first.

The practice operates from two locations: the main surgery on Cassiobury Drive with three consulting rooms, two fully equipped operating theatres, dedicated x-ray facilities, in-house laboratory and comfortable kennel wards, plus a satellite clinic at Katherine Place in Leavesden. The practice ethos prioritises patient welfare, client communication and long-term relationships, and has a proven track record of retaining qualified staff and supporting professional development. A dedicated night team provides out-of-hours monitoring and support, and nurses also run specialist clinics including weight management and puppy socialisation groups.
