About the Role

This is a unique leadership opportunity at Pawra, London’s first dedicated canine wellness centre. You’ll be at the forefront of a transformative approach to pet healthcare, heading up physiotherapy delivery alongside veterinary nurses, hydrotherapists, behaviourists, and pain management specialists. This full-time permanent role combines hands-on clinical work with strategic oversight, ensuring every dog and owner receives exceptional, personalised care throughout their wellness journey.

Located in the vibrant dog-loving community of Chiswick, you’ll work in a state-of-the-art facility designed around a four-pillar wellness model: Recover, Stay Fit, Stay Well, and Stay Sharp. The role blends clinical excellence with business growth—you’ll develop new referral pathways, design efficient processes, and champion continuous professional development both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all physiotherapy service delivery, ensuring a seamless client and pet experience at every touchpoint
  • Conduct physiotherapy assessments and deliver specialist treatments including therapeutic exercise, radiofrequency therapy, photobiomodulation (laser), hydrotherapy, canine massage, and gait analysis
  • Manage rehabilitation programmes for dogs with orthopaedic and neurological conditions, plus proactive wellness assessments
  • Lead the wellness team through the entire pet care journey—from kennel care through rehabilitation and fitness classes
  • Provide expert client education and comprehensive advice on treatment plans and ongoing care
  • Oversee documentation, clinical records, and ensure the facility maintains a welcoming, home-like environment
  • Develop and deliver physiotherapy-based CPD for in-house colleagues and external learners
  • Collaborate across the multidisciplinary team (RVNs, hydrotherapists, groomers, behaviourists, pain specialists) to deliver integrated care
  • Champion innovation in service design and pursue opportunities for business growth and professional excellence

Requirements

  • Category A Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and/or Member of the Register for Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in small animal veterinary physiotherapy
  • Hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill therapy) experience is desirable
  • Exceptional team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Problem-solving approach with genuine empathy for pet and owner concerns
  • Proactive, solutions-driven attitude and willingness to push boundaries for excellence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver personalised experiences
