This is a part-time, temporary overnight position supporting PDSA Gateshead's inpatient care operations. You'll work 28 hours per week on a rolling shift pattern of 2 on, 4 off, with 12-hour night shifts. The role combines animal husbandry, reception duties and practical support for the clinical team, making you an essential part of the hospital's round-the-clock care for sick and injured pets whose owners are in financial hardship.
You may work as part of a small team or independently at times, depending on hospital needs. Your reliability, initiative and calm, sympathetic approach will be key. PDSA Gateshead is a modern, well-equipped hospital with separate dog and cat kennels, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and orthopaedic facilities.
