Estates Supervisor

About the Role

This Estates Supervisor position is based remotely, with occasional travel to Telford, and covers PDSA properties across the South Region. The area includes London and the Home Counties, Essex and Kent, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Sussex, and Gloucestershire.

You’ll act as the account manager for a designated geographic area, overseeing property and facilities activity across hospitals, shops, and other assets. The role brings together compliance, maintenance, contractor management, project oversight and budget control, all within a commercially focused property management approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as account manager for a designated geographic area and oversee hospitals, shops and other property assets.
• Manage property inspections, including fire risk assessments, asbestos surveys and PAT testing.
• Oversee day to day and planned maintenance, making sure work is completed on time and to the required standard.
• Monitor contractor and supplier performance, working with internal contract managers where improvement plans are needed.
• Oversee refurbishment projects and manage maintenance budgets.
• Liaise with commercial landlords, internal teams and external contractors to resolve property related issues.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and deliver property maintenance and refurbishment projects.
• Experience overseeing multiple sites and ensuring facilities are safe, compliant and efficiently managed.
• Ability to prepare and manage budgets effectively.
• Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
• Experience in a veterinary or facilities management environment is desirable.
