This is a full-time permanent position offering newly qualified vets a structured entry into professional practice through PDSA's dedicated Graduate Veterinary Surgeon Programme. Starting September 2026, you'll work a five-day week (37.5 hours) with one day per week dedicated to professional development, giving you genuine breathing room for learning alongside clinical work.
Based at a PDSA Pet Hospital in Portsmouth, you'll encounter real-world cases ranging from routine check-ups to life-saving surgeries. This isn't a sheltered graduate role—you'll gain exposure to genuine clinical variety that goes far beyond typical entry-level work. The programme pairs hands-on experience in busy hospitals with online CPD modules, structured mentorship, and weekly workshops delivered both online and face-to-face.
