Weekend rota shared fairly across the team. Weekends staffed by minimum of two vets (one surgical, one consulting). Saturday or Sunday shifts, either 7.5-hour or 9-hour days. No lone working at weekends.
This is a full-time permanent position offering genuine work-life balance within a supportive, modern pet hospital environment. You'll work 7.5-hour days within core hours of 08:30 to 18:00, with flexibility around which days you work to suit your needs. The role balances surgical work (approximately one-third) with consultation work (approximately two-thirds), keeping variety built into your week.
You'll see a wide range of medical and surgical cases across small animal practice, developing your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact. As part of a team of at least two vets at weekends, you'll never work alone or in sole charge. The Bradford pet hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility with separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
