Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

You will join PDSA Thamesmead as a qualified Veterinary Surgeon on a 6 month temporary contract. The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, and offers the chance to work in a busy hospital where no two days are the same.

You will be working in a collaborative, supportive environment, helping clients explore realistic treatment options and contributing to the ongoing improvement of services for pets and owners in financial hardship.

Key Responsibilities

• See a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases at PDSA Thamesmead.
• Make evidence based clinical decisions and create clear treatment plans.
• Discuss practical treatment options with clients in line with their circumstances.
• Work positively with colleagues across the hospital and contribute to case discussion and shared learning.
• Support the charity mission by helping inspire client contributions and improve services.

Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
• Adaptability and resilience for a diverse caseload.
• Clinical confidence to make sound evidence based decisions.
