About the Role

You’ll be joining Pet Practice’s brand-new Basingstoke surgery—a modern, fully equipped small animal practice located in the busy Chineham Retail Park. This is a full-time role working a 5-day week with every other Saturday morning (part-time hours are also available). The best part? There’s absolutely no on-call, no Sunday working, and no bank holiday shifts—just genuine work-life balance built into the rota.

The practice is equipped with everything you’d expect of a contemporary clinic: digital radiography, ultrasonography, an Idexx in-house integrated laboratory, and dedicated surgical facilities. You’ll work alongside a supportive team that includes visiting peripatetic clinicians, all within an independent group that’s been reinventing veterinary employment for the past fifteen years.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care across a busy small animal caseload
• Support surgical procedures in dedicated surgical facilities
• Perform laboratory work using the Idexx integrated system
• Assist with radiography and ultrasound procedures
• Provide client education and nursing consultations
• Collaborate with the veterinary team and reception colleagues in a close-knit practice environment

Requirements

• Full RVN registration, or significant experience as a Student Veterinary Nurse
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
• Professional communication with clients and colleagues
