An independent small animal practice with a four-day week, no routine out-of-hours and no on-call is on offer at Pike Moor Vets. You'll also be joining a team where your ideas are heard and your clinical opinion carries real weight.

Pike Moor Vets is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a close-knit, independent team. The role is built around first opinion work, with the chance to manage your own cases, discuss more challenging cases with experienced colleagues and contribute to a practice culture where clinical freedom is valued.
You will work across two practices in Horwich and Westhoughton, just four miles apart. The practice is keen to support someone who wants to help shape its future, whether that means sharing experience with less experienced colleagues or helping to develop new services over time.
The rota is full time and includes a four day working week, although a three day week could be considered. Saturdays are 1 in 4, mornings only from 9 am to 12.30 pm, with no Sundays, no routine out of hours and no on call. Out of hours cover is provided by PetMedics.

The practice also states that it is open to investing in equipment and training when a new team member has an interest in developing a service.
