About the Role

Provost Veterinary Group is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their long-established, friendly practice based in the beautiful coastal town of St Andrews. You'll primarily work from the main St Andrews clinic with regular rotation across their Ladybank and Newport branch sites, bringing variety to both your caseload and working environment. This full-time role involves a manageable 1:5 Saturday rota (with 4.5 hours time off in lieu), working 30–40 hours per week across 3–4 shifts. The practice benefits from modern diagnostic equipment including digital and dental radiography and ultrasound, creating an ideal environment for developing both surgical and consulting skills. You'll be part of a dedicated team of six vets and six RVNs who actively encourage clinical development and support progression in areas of interest. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care across a varied first-opinion caseload, balancing consulting and surgical duties
• Carry out surgical procedures approximately twice per week, with remainder of time in consultations
• Work closely with colleagues across all three practice sites to ensure continuity and consistency of care
• Participate in a 1:5 Saturday rota (with time off in lieu)
• Engage actively in clinical development and ongoing CPD
• Contribute positively to the collaborative team culture and support the development of colleagues
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and client communication

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (or eligibility to register)
• Confidence in routine surgical procedures and first-opinion consulting
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Proactive attitude towards learning and clinical development
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites
• Professionalism, reliability, and commitment to high standards of care
