This is a casual position offering flexible shifts at Felledge Animal Centre, a busy RSPCA rescue and rehabilitation facility in County Durham. You'll work on an as-needed basis, picking up shifts as they become available. The role is ideal if you value flexibility and can respond to short-notice scheduling, though you must be within an hour's travel of the centre and available to work weekends.
You'll work with rescued dogs and cats recovering from cruelty and neglect. The cattery houses over 60 cats at peak capacity, while the state-of-the-art kennels typically hold more than 40 dogs undergoing rehabilitation and socialisation before adoption. This is physically active, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and emotionally rewarding.
