Ready to make a tangible difference to animal welfare? This part-time role at a respected charity offers no OOH, no weekends, and the chance to work alongside an experienced team in shelter medicine.
Currently no out-of-hours shifts, weekends or evenings required. Future weekend welfare days being considered.
Join RSPCA Solent Branch as a Veterinary Surgeon in a part-time position that genuinely respects work-life balance. Working 24 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, you'll have no weekends, no evenings, and no out-of-hours shifts to juggle. This is a rare opportunity in veterinary practice to focus purely on clinical work without the usual rota burden.
You'll work alongside a friendly, highly experienced Senior Vet and Practice Manager at The Ark, a well-equipped animal centre in Fareham. The practice serves a 400 square mile catchment area across Hampshire, rehoming animals of all kinds from the local community, including small animals, farm animals, and exotics. Your work will directly impact animal welfare in the region.
RSPCA Solent Branch is an independent, separately registered Branch of the national RSPCA. They are not funded by the national body but instead raise their own funds to deliver vital animal welfare services across southern Hampshire. The Ark, their animal centre in Fareham, is at the heart of their work, housing a well-equipped veterinary clinic where shelter medicine is practised to a high standard.
As a charity, the Branch's mission is straightforward: make a real difference to animal welfare. They rehome as many animals as possible and serve a diverse caseload including pets, farm animals, and exotics across the wider region.
