About the Role

Scarsdale Vets is seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team as a Dental Procedures Veterinary Nurse on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is more than routine dental nursing—you’ll take ownership of building protocols, enhancing workflows, and leading the practice’s dental offering from the ground up. This role sits within a supportive, values-led team where your expertise in dentistry will be valued and your ideas implemented. A 1:6 weekend rota (7:45am–6:00pm) and contribution to bank holiday and night cover duties (to be discussed at interview) are part of the package.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Strong interest in or existing experience with dentistry
  • Confidence in dental procedures and anaesthesia (or genuine willingness to develop this)
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for client education
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
  • Team-oriented mindset with ability to work collaboratively across the clinical team

Benefits

  • Leave & Time Off: 6.6 weeks’ annual leave plus your birthday off, with increasing allowance based on length of service
  • Learning & Development: £550 CPD allowance plus 24 hours paid leave for professional development; certificate support funded
  • Professional Support: RCVS and VDS registration fees covered by the practice
  • Family-Friendly Policies: Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental, and surrogacy pay
  • Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance, Healthcare Cash Plan, and Cycle to Work scheme
