About the Role
This is a distinctive hybrid position that splits your time between virtual consultations and in-clinic relief work across Snoots' growing London practice network. You'll be at the heart of an innovative veterinary group that's transforming how pets and owners access care, combining the convenience of remote telemedicine with hands-on clinical medicine.
The role includes regular evening shifts and at least one weekend day per week, plus flexibility to cover clinics across six London locations (Acton, Balham, Forthill, Islington, Bounds Green, and London Fields) as operational needs arise. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations via video, phone, and messaging platforms
- Perform triage assessments and advise on appropriate care pathways, including referral to in-person services where clinically necessary
- Manage wellness consultations, follow-up appointments, chronic condition monitoring, and preventative care guidance
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in line with RCVS guidance
- Support pet owners with education on medication administration, recovery monitoring, nutrition, behaviour, and home care
- Maintain accurate medical records and case notes within practice management systems
- Provide in-clinic veterinary cover across the Snoots network during sickness, annual leave, and staffing gaps
- Deliver high-quality consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient care in clinic settings
- Collaborate with clinic teams to ensure continuity of care and help develop Snoots' virtual services
Requirements
- MRCVS and eligible to practise in the United Kingdom
- Minimum 3 years' experience in small animal clinical practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience managing a varied small animal caseload independently
- Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities
- Confidence conducting consultations via video, phone, and digital channels
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a distributed team
- Willing to travel between London clinics when required
- Passionate about innovation, patient advocacy, and improving access to veterinary care
Desirable
- Previous telemedicine or virtual consultation experience
- Experience in emergency triage or urgent care
- Interest in developing new digital veterinary services
- Experience working across multiple practice locations
