This Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon role is based at Kingston Vets in Sherborne, with work across two purpose-built practices in Yeovil and Sherborne. The caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care and seeing cases through to a high standard.
The rota is a full-time 40-hour week across four days, plus 1:3 Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Those Saturday mornings are sole charge, and there are no out-of-hours or on-call requirements. Part-time applications are also welcomed.
The role offers a mix of consultations and surgery, with routine work alongside orthopaedics, dentistry and other interesting cases. You'll also have access to visiting orthopaedic support and the chance to build your career around the areas you most want to develop.
Kingston Vets has been part of the local community for over 100 years and is part of IVC. The wider Kingston Veterinary Group has a broad client base across small animal, farm and equine work in Somerset and Dorset, with branches including a small animal surgery in Yeovil and equine branches in Longburton and Buckhorn Weston.
For this role, you'll be joining a friendly and experienced small animal team. The practice is equipped with dental suites and dental X-ray, digital radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, separate cat and dog wards, and isolation facilities. It also holds Silver ISFM status.
