Ready to build genuine herd health expertise instead of just firefighting call-outs? Rosevean is looking for an experienced mixed vet who wants farm work at the heart of their role, with just enough equine and small animal to keep your broader skills sharp.
This is a purposefully designed farm-biased position where herd health planning and preventive medicine sit at the centre of what you'll do. Rather than a standard mixed practice role with a slightly longer farm rota, you'll work with producers to drive real, measurable improvements in animal health and productivity through long-term relationship-based farm medicine. Alongside the farm focus, a carefully balanced amount of equine and small animal work means you'll maintain the breadth of skills that make mixed practice vets so versatile.
Based in Penzance, right on the doorstep of west Cornwall's spectacular countryside and coastline, this full-time permanent position (part-time considered for the right candidate) offers a genuinely varied caseload set against an exceptional quality of life. The area offers outstanding farm work, coastal paths, beaches, and a thriving arts and food scene.
Rosevean Veterinary Practice is part of VetPartners, one of the UK's leading veterinary groups with a strong track record for team culture and support. The practice is recognised as an Employer of the Year and operates across mixed animal work with a particular focus on farm services. Membership of the VetPartners network provides access to clinical trials, research programmes, and industry partnerships that bring intellectual stimulation and career development opportunities beyond what a standalone practice can offer.
