About the Role

This is a new or recent graduate Veterinary Surgeon role within a friendly, supportive small animal practice in Caerphilly. The rota is designed for sustainability, with a 37-hour four-day week, no on-call and no weekend rota.

The practice is busy and varied, so no two days are the same. You'll be joining a team that includes three GDP advisors to support your development, alongside a five vet team and an experienced nursing team.

There is also real scope to build confidence in surgery, with a high first opinion caseload and plenty of opportunities for surgical time.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small animal first opinion team in a busy Caerphilly clinic
• Manage a varied caseload with case continuity and client care in mind
• Develop your clinical skills with support from three GDP advisors

About the Practice

Caerphilly Veterinary Clinic is an RCVS accredited small animal practice that has recently moved to the outskirts of Caerphilly into a purpose built site with modern facilities. The clinic has a dedicated cat area with ISFM gold accreditation and is also a Gold Standard Cat Friendly and Dogs Trust accredited Dog Friendly Practice.

The team includes five vets with a range of experience and expertise, supported by an experienced and enthusiastic nursing team. The practice works with visiting peripatetic surgeons for orthopaedics, pain management and physiotherapy, and has equipment including digital X ray, ultrasound and dental X ray.
