This 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position offers a refreshing alternative to the standard vet practice schedule. You'll work full-time across two sites (Kirk Sandall and Carcroft) on a four-shift rota of 10-hour days, plus one Saturday morning in six (8am to 12.30pm). Best of all: no out-of-hours shifts, no Sunday working, and no bank holiday requirements. Your role spans consulting, hospital care, patient prep, and theatre support, giving you genuine variety in a supportive clinical environment.
The practice operates a two-site nursing training model with advanced equipment including laparoscopic capabilities, digital dental imaging, and an in-house orthopaedic and soft-tissue surgery programme. You'll work alongside certificate holders in surgery, medicine, diagnostic imaging, and anaesthesia and analgesia. Located just north of Doncaster with easy access to the A1, M18, and M62, plus direct rail links to the wider UK, the position offers both professional growth and practical commuting convenience.
