This Head RVN position in Altrincham offers real input into how the practice runs, alongside clear support from a Clinical Lead Vet for clinical matters and a Practice Manager for HR. You will lead the nursing team, own clinical standards and help drive consistency as the practice continues to grow.
The role combines leadership with hands-on nursing, so you will still be closely involved in anaesthesia, theatre work, inpatient care, recovery, nurse consultations, triage and supporting advanced procedures. The rota is 40 hours per week with a paid 30 minute lunch break, 1 in 4 Saturdays, no out of hours and no overnight inpatient checks.
The practice is a recently extended, modern site in Altrincham with 5 consult rooms, 2 theatres and a dedicated recovery area. Visiting cardiology and imaging support is available, and the clinical team includes CertAVP.
The caseload is growing and includes advanced soft tissue and orthopaedics. The advert also describes a positive, collaborative team with a mix of experienced and developing nurses, plus active student nurse involvement.
