Night role, 2 nights on, 6 nights off, 7pm to 8am. Additional day shifts can be provided if required.
Vets for Pets Northampton Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated OOH Veterinary Care Assistant to join its friendly and experienced team. This is a night-based role in a busy 24/7 veterinary hospital, caring for everything from routine inpatients needing overnight monitoring to critically ill pets requiring emergency treatment.
You’ll also support out-of-hours emergency care for 10 other veterinary practices across Northamptonshire, so each shift brings something different. The rota is 2 nights on, 6 nights off, working 7pm to 8am, with additional day shifts available if required.
The hospital is purpose-built and RCVS-accredited, with 10 consulting rooms, 3 operating theatres, 4 dedicated inpatient wards, separate isolation facilities, a fully equipped diagnostic imaging suite, in-house laboratory facilities and a spacious colleague room.
You’ll be joining Vets for Pets Northampton Hospital, a purpose-built, RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency and critical care, and also covers out-of-hours emergency work for 10 other veterinary practices across Northamptonshire.
During the night, you’ll work alongside a dedicated OOH Vet and Registered Veterinary Nurse, supporting the smooth running of the hospital and helping deliver excellent patient care.
