About the Role

This Practice Owner opportunity is based in Carmarthen, where a brand-new Vets for Pets practice is set to open within an existing Pet Care Centre. The location is described as a vibrant market town in West Wales, with countryside and coastline nearby and transport links to Swansea and beyond.

You’ll have the freedom to shape the practice your way, with clinical and operational autonomy over the client experience, team culture and day-to-day direction of the business. The practice is expected to be up and running within the next 6 to 12 months, and the space will be transformed to include three consult rooms, a prep area and theatre, X-ray, pharmacy, laboratory, separate cat and dog wards and waiting areas, an isolation ward, office and a branded reception area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the practice as owner, with responsibility for both the clinical and operational direction.
• Shape the practice’s clinical journey, client relationships and team culture.
• Work with the support teams to establish the practice, recruit and build the business.
• Help develop the practice within the existing Pet Care Centre setting.
• Contribute to the long-term growth, reputation and value of the practice.

Requirements

• You must be an experienced veterinary professional.
• You need to be ready to take on practice ownership and the responsibilities that come with it.
• Investment is required, with sole ownership of a brand-new practice needing £20,000.
• If partnering with a co-owner, the investment is split equally between owners.
