About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to establish yourself as a practice owner in Haverfordwest, a historic market town in Pembrokeshire surrounded by stunning coastline and countryside. You'll lead a brand-new state-of-the-art small animal practice located within an existing Pet Care Centre in Springfield Retail Park, benefiting from high visibility and a stream of potential clients. The practice could be operational within 6 to 12 months, giving you the chance to shape its culture, protocols, and client relationships from day one.

As owner, you'll have full clinical and operational autonomy to drive your vision and run things your way. You'll take a salary from day one and build towards owning 100% of future profits. Once loans are repaid, you'll receive dividends twice annually and benefit from the asset value your practice gains over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the new practice, defining clinical protocols and medical decision-making independently
• Build and manage the team, shaping practice culture and client relationships
• Drive business growth and profitability within the Springfield Retail Park location
• Manage day-to-day operations with support from the wider Vets for Pets network
• Work alongside the Pet Care Centre to maximise client referrals and footfall

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon (MRCVS or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a practising veterinarian
• Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to own and run your own practice
• Ability to work with a minimum investment of £20,000 (or equally split with co-owner partners)
• Willingness to embrace the Vets for Pets ownership model and support structure

Vets for Pets provides expert guidance, brand recognition, and financial support throughout the ownership journey. The practice benefits from a flexible revenue-share model based on net turnover (never profit), ensuring owners can maximise profitability.

Located in Springfield Retail Park, Haverfordwest, the practice sits within an established Pet Care Centre, creating natural synergies with new pet owner referrals and existing footfall. The practice space spans 1,400 square feet on a single floor, with comprehensive clinical facilities and dedicated areas for reception, administration, and patient care.
