Receptionist / Veterinary Care Assistant

About the Role

This is a weekend-only part-time Receptionist and Veterinary Care Assistant position, working 12 hours per weekend. Although the contract is based at one site, the successful applicant will work across two practices, Abingdon Vets for Pets and Didcot Vet for Pets.

You’ll be the welcoming face for clients and their pets, while also supporting colleagues with non-clinical duties that help the practice run smoothly and support patient care. The practices are described as bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose-built to industry-leading standards, with digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, welcoming way.
• Support colleagues with non-clinical duties to help the practice run smoothly.
• Keep up to date with the practice’s services and additional services available.
• Respond calmly and attentively to client needs.
• Help create a warm, friendly atmosphere across the practice.
• Work across both Abingdon Vets for Pets and Didcot Vet for Pets.
