About the Role

This part-time position offers flexibility with shifts typically running 8am to 6pm or 10am to 8pm, with a maximum of one late shift per week. Full-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. The practice actively tailors hours to suit your lifestyle, recognising the importance of work-life balance without compromising on clinical quality.

You'll work across all areas of the practice including theatre, inpatient wards, consulting rooms, and prep work. The team currently runs nurse clinics in laser therapy, weight management, and behavioural consultations, with plans to expand this offering. Rota systems allow you to either gain broad experience across all departments or focus on areas that genuinely interest you.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled veterinary nursing across theatre, inpatient care, consulting, and prep room settings
• Provide excellent patient and client care, with a commitment to comprehensive clinical workups
• Participate in and potentially lead nurse clinics including laser, weight, and behavioural consultations
• Support the practice as a business and contribute to team motivation and improvement
• Mentor developing team members where appropriate, demonstrating a commitment to clinical coaching principles
• Maintain high standards within a modern, purpose-built facility equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasonography, and in-house laboratory facilities

Requirements

• Current RVN registration with RCVS
• Demonstrated expertise across all aspects of veterinary nursing
• Strong communication and organisational skills, thriving in dynamic, collaborative environments
• Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
• Commitment to professional development and supporting colleagues
• Clinical Coach qualification desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for learning and supporting developing team members is essential
