🕐 Schedule & Rota

1:4 Saturday rota; no weeknight or on-call out-of-hours responsibilities

About the Role

This part-time RVN position offers three days per week with no out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities—just a straightforward 1:4 Saturday rota. You’ll join a six-strong nursing team (four RVNs and two VCAs) in a modern, well-equipped first-opinion practice conveniently located near the M4 and local train station.

The surgery is fitted with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, VGels, and multiparameter monitoring systems. You’ll have the chance to work alongside visiting orthopaedic and ultrasonography specialists, and the practice actively supports nurses in performing Schedule 3 procedures and running nurse-led clinics. A dedicated Client Care Advisor team means you can focus purely on clinical responsibilities and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anaesthetic monitoring and inpatient care
  • Conducting nurse-led consultations
  • Assisting with surgical and medical procedures
  • Stock ordering and clinical supplies management
  • Performing Schedule 3 procedures within your scope of practice
  • Collaborating with a nursing team of six (four RVNs and two VCAs)
  • Supporting visiting specialist clinicians (orthopaedics, ultrasonography)

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification
  • Motivated, proactive approach with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively in a busy team environment
  • Clear commitment to delivering clinical excellence
