1-in-3 weekend rota; practice open 7 days a week
Vets for Pets Worcester has been named Practice of the Year within the group and awarded Best Vets in Worcestershire in both 2024 and 2025. This is a practice that refuses to stand still, investing seriously in the tools, technology, and people that keep them ahead.
You'll work as part of a 30-strong team in a bright, collaborative environment where learning and development are woven into daily practice. The role includes 8-hour shifts with paid lunch breaks and paid overtime (rare in veterinary), and a manageable 1-in-3 weekend rota. This is genuinely sustainable working.
Your caseload will be varied and interesting. You'll work alongside colleagues using CT scanning, AI-assisted X-ray interpretation, keyhole surgery, stem cell therapy, and in-house labs. The practice is an accredited training practice, so development isn't a perk here. It's part of who they are.
Vets for Pets Worcester is part of the Vets for Pets group and has been built into one of the region's most progressive practices over 15 years under the leadership of Head Vet Jonathan Nicol. The practice combines advanced clinical facilities with a genuine commitment to helping every client access the best possible care for their pet, within their individual circumstances and budget.
The team of 30 people actively enjoy working together. They socialise, celebrate together, and maintain a diverse range of clubs reflecting the varied interests of their staff. The practice operates seven days a week and is committed to sustainable, fair working patterns.
