Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

Join Vets for Pets in Pity Me as a full-time Veterinary Receptionist, working 36.5 hours per week with Saturday rotas included. You'll be the welcoming point of contact for clients and their pets, managing the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using their online booking system. This is a hands-on role where your ability to build strong relationships with clients, pets, and the clinical team will be essential to your success.

Your day will involve greeting clients with genuine warmth, providing expert guidance about practice services, managing payments and future bookings, and offering support to those with difficult news about their pets. The small animal practice values creating a friendly atmosphere where clients leave knowing they've received exceptional service and look forward to their next visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and pets with a welcoming approach, providing a link between clients and the clinical team
• Deliver exceptional client service throughout each visit, ensuring satisfaction and building loyalty
• Manage payments, coordinate future bookings, and handle administrative tasks using the online booking system
• Keep up to date with all practice services and additional offerings to provide informed guidance
• Handle sensitive situations with calm and attentiveness, comforting clients when needed and celebrating positive milestones
• Coordinate the smooth running of day-to-day practice operations

Requirements

• Strong client service skills and a genuine passion for helping people and their pets
• Computer literacy and comfort with online booking systems
• Ability to remain calm, attentive, and focused on client needs in a busy environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming personality
