Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a part time Veterinary Surgeon position with Crewe Vets4Pets, suited to an RCVS registered vet with a minimum of 18 months UK experience. The practice is looking for an experienced colleague who can contribute to its growth, with a rota that includes 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9am to 2pm.

You will join a supportive and collaborative team, with caseloads shared evenly and visiting specialist support available to help expand your knowledge. The practice is focused on good all round care for local pets and is open to hearing from vets at different stages in their careers, including those who want to mentor, lead, or build new skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general practice work, including consultations, routine surgery, dentals and case management.
• Contribute to investigations and ongoing clinical decision making across a varied small animal caseload.
• Work collaboratively with the clinical team and wider client care team.
• Support colleagues and help develop skills where needed.
• Provide strong client focused care across the full client journey.

Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Minimum of 18 months UK experience.
• Good all round clinical approach.
• Team player with a collaborative style.
• Strong communication skills.

About the Practice

Crewe Vets4Pets is described as being at a pivotal point of growth, with ambitious plans and a focus on developing colleagues' skills and knowledge. The practice places good care for local pets and clients at the centre of its work.

The team includes an experienced clinical team, senior nurse Mike, who joined last year and brings more than 20 years' industry experience, and a full client care team who help with reception tasks and support clients and pets during visits. Visiting specialists also include a surgeon with orthopaedic specialism and an ultrasonography specialist.
