Lead a large nursing team in a busy emergency clinic with a proper management role, clinical shifts, and genuine support for your development. If you thrive on mentoring others while maintaining high patient care standards, Vets Now wants to hear from you.
Night shifts and weekend cover as part of structured rota. Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday 19:00-09:00. Week 2: Monday and Tuesday 19:00-09:00, Saturday 12:00-19:30, Sunday 08:30-19:30. Week 3: Thursday and Friday 19:00-09:00. Week 4: Saturday and Sunday 19:00-09:00. Plus fair share of bank holidays.
This is a leadership opportunity within Vets Now's established Barton-le-Clay emergency clinic, which has provided RCVS-accredited out-of-hours care since 2010. You will lead a large team of veterinary nurses and clinical support staff, balancing hands-on clinical work with strategic management responsibilities. The role combines night shifts and weekend cover with dedicated time for team development, performance management, and operational oversight.
You'll work across a structured rota that includes clinical night shifts (19:00 to 09:00), weekend patterns, and bank holidays, alongside protected management time for meetings, appraisals, and clinic planning.
