1 in 2 weekend rota (mix of nights and days). Weekday nights and weekends including Saturday 12:00-19:30 and Sunday 08:30-19:30. Night shifts 19:00-08:30. No more than three consecutive nights. Shared bank holidays.
This is a leadership opportunity at Vets Now's Doncaster emergency clinic, a modern, well-equipped facility based directly opposite the train station with excellent regional transport links. You'll take on a Head/Lead Veterinary Surgeon role, blending clinical expertise with mentorship in a stable, experienced team that's been working collaboratively for many years. The role averages 40 hours per week, including weekday nights and a 1 in 2 weekend rota (a mix of nights and day shifts), with no more than three consecutive nights and protected time for leadership duties.
This is a varied ECC caseload that offers excellent clinical development while you're fully supported by an experienced nursing team. As part of the wider Vets Now network, you'll have access to clinics and referral centres across the UK to discuss cases and share ideas. Based within a VetPartners host practice, the clinic has modern facilities, excellent equipment and a well-stocked inventory in a compact, efficient setting.

The Doncaster clinic is a modern, well-equipped facility with a stable, experienced veterinary and nursing team who have worked collaboratively for many years. On shift, you'll work alongside a registered veterinary nurse, an animal care assistant and a receptionist, with access to the wider Vets Now network for clinical support and discussion.
