About the Role

This part-time Veterinary Nurse position is based at Vets Now Sutton, an RCVS accredited Small Animal Emergency Service Clinic. The clinic is part of Vets Now, the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, and supports emergency and critical care cases without appointments.

You’ll be part of a nursing team working across triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. The rota is clearly set out, with shifts across four weeks and a fair share of bank holidays, so the pattern is fully defined from the outset.

The role is based in Sutton, London, and the clinic encourages applications from candidates who want to build their ECC experience while working in an emergency-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid advice over the phone and deliver first aid support in clinic.
• Support critical care through monitoring major body systems and tracking in-patient trends.
• Spot changes quickly and contribute to physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound care and dressing care.
• Carry out basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Requirements

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
