
A part-time Veterinary Surgeon role in Barry with 3 days a week, just 1 in 4 to 5 Saturdays, and no OOH. You will be joining a supportive small animal team in a recently refitted practice with 15 to 30 minute consults and built-in catch-up time.

This part-time Veterinary Surgeon position is based in Barry and offers a varied mix of surgery and consultations. The rota is 3 days a week, with weekend cover made up of just 1 in 4 to 5 Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, and there are no out of hours.
Consults are booked for 15 to 30 minutes depending on the type of appointment, and the diaries also include a 45 minute to 1 hour lunch break plus catch-up time during the day. The practice cares for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small furries, and is set up to support a calm, well organised working day.
The role is with Barry Vets for Pets, a recently refitted practice with 5 new consult rooms, a dedicated colleague room, digital X-rays, a doppler blood pressure monitor, a full in-house lab and an ultrasound scanner. The team includes 4 other Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 PCA, 5 Receptionists and an experienced Practice Manager.
Practice Owner Sylvia Annies is qualified in Hannover and has more than 31 years of experience, including 15 years running Barry Vets for Pets. The practice is based in Barry, South Wales, near Cardiff and Barry Island, with the surgery located on a retail park at the waterfront and offering good parking and bus and train connections.
