
A full-time equine surgeon role with orthopaedic interest sits at the heart of this opportunity, along with support for certificate-level development and a relocation allowance. You'll be joining a dedicated equine-only practice with a varied caseload and modern clinic facilities.
This is a full-time Equine Veterinary Surgeon position with an interest in orthopaedics. The ideal candidate would either hold, be working towards, or be keen to pursue an Orthopaedic, Diagnostic Imaging or Lameness certificate. The role also includes a relocation allowance and a salary of up to £75,000 DOE.
You'll work across a mixed equine caseload, from pony club ponies through to amateur and competition horses, with the occasional donkey too. The practice is based in the Chiltern Hills just outside Wendover, with nearby local amenities, strong transport links into London and international airports, plus access to Wendover Woods for breaks.
Wendover Park Equine Vets is a dedicated equine-only practice that opened in 2024, serving horses, ponies and donkeys across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. It is built on the partnership between Wendover Heights Equine at Halton, founded in 1965, and Park Vets in Watford, which has more than 120 years of history.
The practice works from two sites and is part of Inspiring Vet Care, the UK and Europe’s leading veterinary care group. The team includes Clinical Director Ben Wakeling, Senior Vet Charlotte Osmond, five further vets, three registered veterinary nurses, a technician, and equine coordinators Michelle and Natasha, with Practice Manager Georgina Nixon RVN overseeing the smooth running of the practice.
